Art Installation | The Dance of Irises, Crisp Summer Hues

Floral, yet not quite a flower. Resembling iris blooms. Resembling dancing maidens. Outlining summer with color. Interpreting blossoming through form. Viewed from any angle on the first or second floor, the shape transforms—encasing this nearly 7‑meter‑high stairwell in a full 360‑degree embrace… The ground‑level portion wasn’t difficult, but the ceiling suspension was truly a headache. The non‑vertical spiral form, weighing hundreds of kilograms, paired with the awkward positioning within the irregular stairwell and deviations in the load‑bearing anchor points, made the overhead installation exceptionally challenging. At one point, I genuinely thought completion was impossible… (Figure 5 shows just the tip of the iceberg). During installation, over half of it was crushed under pressure.
