A River of Shu Brocade, A Pact with Mountains and Seas | Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Installation
Reconstructing intangible cultural heritage with modern techniques, integrating creativity into material application, and embedding contemporary aesthetics and spatial philosophy—this time, we realized this vision at MixC in Shenzhen Bay. "Weaving the River" A river woven from Shu Brocade, keeping a pact with mountains and seas. This river of brocade flows silently; every meandering curve is a trace of water carving through mountains, every fold a frozen ripple of time on silk. Crimson brocade soaks the earth like dawn clouds over the basin; blue satin flows like snowmelt cascading into rivers; golden threads glint like millennia of craftsmanship. Here, color ceases to be mere visual data—it becomes a warm, storied vessel. Project Constraints: Within a 25cm deep wooden frame, create a suspended installation that blurs the line between painting and sculpture—hollowed, ethereal, layered in depth, and interwoven in structure. Material: Primarily Shu Brocade. Color: Chinese aesthetics, dominated by deep crimson with contrasting accents. Execution: Fabric manipulation. Copyright reserved. No plagiarism.
